The Golden Lion, known locally as The Goldie was built between 1700-1725 & become Grade ll listed in July 1975 & is known to be haunted & although there are strange goings on, generally
the ghosts are very friendly & sometimes play tricks on us, all in good fun of course
We offer excellent home made traditional food at very reasonable prices & is prepared & cooked by Carl who always aims to use local suppliers when ever possible, we cater for functions which can be costed to suit individual budgets
Our real ales are kept to a very high standard & were awarded 'The Cask Marque Award' in 2011. We currently have on pump Doombar, Directors & Seafarers. We also offer a good selection of beers
