The Golden Lion
Husband & wife team Richard & Lynn have run the pub since November 2009. Their son Carl is the chef. You are always guaranteed a warm welcome in this traditional pub as it is renowned for its great atmosphere & warm welcome
We offer excellent home made traditional food at very reasonable prices which is prepared & cooked by Carl who always aims to use local suppliers when ever possible. Carl adds his personal touch to his dishes & comes up with some amazing ideas especially for his Table d'hote menu
We stock a good range of real ales & have the Cask Marque award for the third year running, at present we are offering Doombar, Otter & a range of Exmoor ales. We also carry a popular range of wines, spirits & beers.
We also cater for functions which can be costed to suit individual budgets.
The golden Lion is known locally as The Goldie & is a popular local pub & has a very welcoming feel & every body is made to feel welcome. The pub is known to be haunted & we often have strange happenings!
